I wouldnt give you money. You wasted more slides on the fact that you made one movie than that you'll make a good one out of your next one.

"Somewhere between pastiche and parody?"

Is there a definable difference between those two?

It now looks like you want to make a movie about a Lovecraft story, put in some funny things which you already did in crooked features and have a laugh or two.

Oh, and:

pastiche |pa?st? sh; p?-| noun an artistic work in a style that imitates that of another work, artist, or period : the operetta is a pastiche of 18th century styles | the songs amount to much more than blatant pastiche. ? an artistic work consisting of a medley of pieces taken from various sources. ? a confused mixture or jumble : his speech is a pastiche of false starts and unfinished sentences.

parody |?par?d?| noun ( pl. -dies) an imitation of the style of a particular writer, artist, or genre with deliberate exaggeration for comic effect : the movie is a parody of the horror genre | his provocative use of parody. See note at caricature . ? an imitation or a version of something that falls far short of the real thing; a travesty : he seems like a parody of an educated Englishman.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Parody is exaggerated for comic effect, pastiche is mere imitation. Somewhere inbetween would be Sexton. Style is imitated, drama is accentuated with humour. I would say those words, I'd never create interference on a slide with them.
